The New York Times section called the Lens has links to many photography blogs.  On was the LA times.  They had a picture story called Living under the 7th Street Bridge.  The photos showed homeless people in their homes under the bridge.  One photo shows a women making breakfast next  a river.  The area is littered with trash and she stands in the middle of it cooking.  One photo shows a drug dealer with a needle.  He says "I want to be high so that I don't feel sick so I can do my drawings and pass away with some happiness because I never got it anywhere in this world."  These photos show what homeless peoples lives are like.  Many journalists have written about homeless people but seeing the conditions they live in makes it easier for people to understand their lives.

children01.jpg Another site had photos of poor children in India.  The story was called The World's Children.  The story started by introducing an 11 year old boy who had disabled parents and was beaten by his grandparents.  He ran away and was now living on the streets.  Another photo showed an infant lying on the street.
