AD'S Say NO TO The Super Bowl

In today's Boston Globe there was an article about how major marketing companies like Pepsi, General Motors, and Fedex will not take part in advertising their product during the biggest event of the year (Super Bowl) due to the economy.
For years now their commercials have been a big part of the Super Bowl.
I usually watch these commercials to see which ones will be the funniest. Although some companies backed out because of the economy such as the ones listed above, there are still big companies that are willing to spend the big bucks for a 30 second spot. Those companies include Coca-Cola, Monster.com, and Anheuser-Busch.
This year a 30 second commercial will cost somewhere between $2.5 million and $3 million for the spot and an additional $1 million just to produce.
In my opinion I think that the big companies that were listed in the beginning should put there commercial on the market because I don't think the economy is a big factor to companies like Pepsi who is a multi million dollar industry.
